DK#26 - Demain Kollectiv x Oрфей [orpheus] : (AFTERLIFE)

On the 9th of November, Bordeaux based Demain Kollectiv is collaborating with London based Орфей - orpheus .

This time we are bringing up the concept of Afterlife. Based on an ancient Egyptian funerary text - the Book of the Dead, throughout the night we will represent all the different stages leading to the realm of Afterlife. We will go through death, underworld, the process of judgement to afterlife and immortality. Performance acts choreographed by Olha Korovina & Raffaello Donnaloia Me'taraph and highly symbolic characters executed and created by performance artists Jack You, Wesley Manners, Catherine Filus Catus, System Slave, will create an immersive space enhanced by strong visual and aesthetic aspects as part of Oрфей [orpheus] signature storytelling. Juan Dark will do a live painting performance. The experience will be facilitated by hypnotic, palpitating, raw and industrial sound flow from:

By looking at the Book of the Dead we want to create a magnetic journey and reflect on the idea of Afterlife through ritualistic mediums of music and dance. In the period while society is very capitalistic and materialistic, we feel the need to reconnect with the spiritual side of our existence, remembering our essence. The purpose of this is to remind everyone who will join us that we are not just physical bodies. Our consciousness is beyond our body and it is immortal.
