"Medicine Boy is a Dream Noise duo from Cape Town, South Africa, based in Berlin.
Influenced by the likes of Rowland S. Howard, Spiritualized, The Mary Chain and The Bad Seeds, the pair tread the fine line between the calm and the chaotic.
Formed in 2014 by André Leo (vocals/guitar), Lucy Kruger (vocals/keys) and a drum machine, the band quickly began headlining shows and festivals in South Africa and toured Europe and the UK in 2015 + 2016.
The band’s sound is as much about the noise as it is about the spaces between. Grinding organ sinks beneath waves of guitar that are at times gentle and drifting, at others feral and unforgiving. Lucy and Andre’s voices remain entwined and intimate.
After independently releasing their debut EP in 2014 and full length album in 2016, the duo’s latest album,
Lower, was released on London’s Fuzz Club Records in October 2018."

→ PØLAR MOON
(Space Pop – Poitiers,FR)

"Polar Moon n’est pas réellement un groupe mais plutôt un supergroupe. Initié en 2015, on y croise notamment Guillaume Bernard, auteur-compositeur-guitariste du groupe Cuckoo Cuckoo Land, Julien Lepreux qui accompagne Malik Djoudi en tournée et Julie Trouvé qui fait partie du groupe folk Kokopeli. Dès le trio 100% Poitiers se retrouve et unit leurs forces respectives sur un premier EP intitulé Rituals.
Composé de cinq titres, Polar Moon s’inscrit dans la lignée pop spatiale et doucement onirique et électronique. Dès lors, on se laisse entraîner par la voix doucereuse de Julie Trouvé qui plane sur les compositions enivrantes comme « Facing The Wall » qui ouvre le bal mais encore « Love Is Not Enough » qui suit ou l’acoustique « Moments »."
