Bienvenue à la Block Party !

On pousse les murs du Supersonic jusqu’au bord de la Seine pour une balade entre la rue Biscornet et le port de l’Arsenal, entre post-punk, psyché solaire, pop rêveuse et indie rock turbulent... Le Supersonic va transformer les rues qui l’entourent en festival à l’anglo-saxonne, dans un esprit proche de ceux du SXSW à Austin ou du Great Escape à Brighton.

Trois jours du mois de mai à naviguer entre quatre lieux, pour découvrir les groupes cultes de demain, les formations coups de coeur de l’équipe du lieu et les fleurons d’une nouvelle scène rock flamboyante venus du monde entier ! Supersonic’s Block Party s’annonce comme un rendez-vous incontournable autant pour les nerds de musique que pour tous.tes les curieux.ses !

Goo (20h30)
(Britpop - Keighley, UK)

Goo are an indie rock band from Keighley, West Yorkshire, UK. Starting life in 2020 as a way to keep their sanity throughout the covid-19 pandemic, they released their first single ‘Underground or Overseas’ to critical acclaim. Kieran Riley joined the band on bass, and they began touring around the UK with support slots with The Wytches and False Advertising. Two more self produced singles followed; ‘FOMO’ and ‘Heck’ which both received positive press; “An effects-drenched, catchy, ever-evolving 90s indie-pop-rock wet dream with a nostalgic yet contemporary and fresh feeling.” - Shout Louder Magazine. Kieran left the band to pursue a career in 3D design and was replaced by Bryn Price of Box Jellys.

Deep Tan (22h10)
(Post punk - London, UK)

part of london’s thriving post-punk scene, deep tans' stripped-back, minimal sound is a vehicle for songs that engage with contemporary themes, from deepfake revenge pornography to gender-expansive ideology and stories of furry hedonism. shedding the atmospherics of earlier releases in favour of a darker, more driving sound, they follow on from last year’s critically acclaimed EP, ‘creeping speedwells’, with sophomore EP ‘diamond horsetail’, bringing bold riffs, warped lyricism and experimentations with subliminal messaging and hypnosis tapes to the fore.
